Summer Nail Art! Pop Art Inspired

Hey guys!

I hope you have had a fantastic new year! A new year means a new look for HappyNurtle. I have given my blog and channel a facelift, got a haircut and have made a new New Year's resolution, to improve my blog and channel and post more frequently. Towards the end of last year, I had a lot going on in my life and emotional battles against myself - to say it straight, I just wasn't happy and that impacted my blog and channel. But I have high hopes for this year, and a lot of plans and ideas for HappyNurtle. I am so happy and thankful I will be able to be doing it all with you guys by my side! Anyway, enough chit chat, we're all here for a nail art post!

Summer Nail Art

I love this look! It's bright and fun, just like Summer! And it's super easy to achieve too. Here's how I created this fun nail art!

Summer Nail Art

After applying base coat, apply 2 coats of Hot & Spicy by OPI. Following this apply a coat of Seche Vite Fast Drying Top Coat to ensure the base is completely dry. Now you'll want to apply striping tape along the nails in a fun pattern.

Summer Nail Art

Here, I went with stripes and colour block designs. Now you want to paint the stripes in with a pigmented black polish like Black Lingerie by Revlon. You'll end up with a design like this.

Summer Nail Art

I haven't cleaned up the edges in this picture, but you get the idea. Now using a dotting tool you want to choose a couple of nails with a larger ares to create blue flowers in. I used Suzi Says Feng Shui by OPI to create my flowers  and the black polish to dot into the centre. I also created polka dots using the black polish in the other nails to tie the look together. Then presto! You have fun pop art nail art, ready and very summer appropriate!

Summer Nail Art

I hope you enjoy this nail art idea and try it out for yourself. It's super easy but looks great and intricate. You'll definitely turn heads with this on your nails!
